Vice Chancellor’s quality enhancement address

The honorable Vice Chancellor NFC IET Multan (Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou) chaired a meeting with all principal officers, department and section heads, to discuss the following agenda items:
1. Quality Enhancement
2. Faculty Empowerment
3. Salary increments and associated benefits.
The competent authority stressed upon the needs to focus on enhancing the quality that should present the university on both National as well as International scale. The Vice chancellor enlisted short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals to envision the smooth and incremental growth for sustainable quality education at NFC IET Multan. In this regard, continued faculty training, quality enhancement seminars, use of modern teaching tools to add capacity to teaching methodologies were extensively discussed.
The honorable Vice Chancellor also updated the forum regarding the effective pay scale revision and increase in salary of regular, contract, and daily wages staff to be dispersed accordingly. The competent authority reiterated the vision of the management to facilitate the staff in these harsh economic times by providing all necessary support, as allowed by the rules. It was further mentioned that the aforementioned increase will be applicable for regular employees from 1st July 2022 (as per the decision of The Government of Pakistan) and will be finalized on a priority basis. Furthermore, the competent authority also approved the Ex gratia for all the employees of the institute.
The competent authority also decided to constitute a committee that will rationalize the salary structure in the university that will help to curb the salary gap and will ensure a fair and equal economic structure for all the staff members.
Finally, the competent authority emphasized on the needs of capacity and leadership building activities that will help to prompt the next leaders of the university. In this regard the Vice Chancellor suggested his envisioned rotation policy for all academic and managerial posts, to allow next set of future leaders that will be selected on merit basis.
