Pakistan and its International Obligations

On 13 September 2023, NFC Institute of Engineering and Technology (NFC IET) Multan hosted a prestigious speech competition centered around the theme of “Pakistan and its International Obligations.” The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the honorable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou, who had the honor of inviting the former Foreign Minister, the honorable Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, to preside over the occasion as the chief guest.

A distinguished gathering further enriched the event with the presence of prominent figures, including the honorable Syed Yusuf Raza Gillani (former Prime Minister of Pakistan), Syed Murad Ali Shah (Former Chief Minister, Sindh), Syed Ali Musa Gillani (former MNA), Syed Ali Qasim Gillani, Syed Ali Haider Gillani, and Ms. Natasha Daultana.

The honorable Vice Chancellor, in his welcoming address, provided an insightful and comprehensive overview of NFC IET Multan, elucidating its vision, fundamental pillars, and its unwavering commitment to serving the community, the nation, and contributing to international endeavors.

Engr. Nasrullah Khan Babar, the Registrar of NFC IET, presented an illuminating account of the remarkable progress and achievements of the institute during the past decade. This presentation was met with great appreciation from the honorable chief guest, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his address, commended the relentless efforts of NFC IET Multan and its management, acknowledging it as an exemplary model for the entire nation. During his visit to the campus, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the premier, emphasized the fundamental principles required for building strong institutions: integrity, hard work, clear vision, and ensuring the right person for the right job. He highlighted how Prof. Dr. Malik Akhtar Ali Kalrou epitomized these principles through his unwavering dedication and relentless efforts. Under Prof. Dr. Akhtar Ali Malik Kalrou’s leadership, NFC IET Multan had emerged as a shining example of a self-sustaining university, setting a high standard for the entire nation. Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also commended the remarkable development progress and facilities offered by the university, underscoring the exemplary nature of its self-sustaining model that deserved applause.

The event culminated with Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari bestowing shields and prizes upon the accomplished winners of the speech competition and recognizing the dedicated efforts of the institute’s top management. This occasion not only celebrated academic excellence but also underscored the institute’s vital role in shaping the intellectual discourse on Pakistan’s international obligations.
