Choice of Disciplines
Candidate will have to mention his/her preference for Chemical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or B.S Computer Science programs. In case candidate is interested in only one or two of the program then he/she should indicate on the application form accordingly. Preference once given will not be ordinarily changed except in inevitable cases provided merit is not disturbed. A re-processing fee of Rs.1000 will have to be paid in each case. Please put a cross ( x ) against discipline in which you are not at all interested.
How to Apply
Fill out the counter foil of Entry Test Admit slip (enclosed in prospectus) and attach the entry test fee of Rs. 800/- in the form of bank draft in favour of NFC Institute of Engineering and Technological Training, Multan and send on or before Monday, July 09, 2012. The Entry Test date is Saturday, July 14, 2012
If you have obtained 100 or more marks in the Entry Test conducted by NFC IET, Multan and you have got 60% or more marks in FSc (pre Engineering)/DAE/equivalent exams, then you are eligible to apply provided you are not overage.
Carefully read the information instruction given in the Application form before filling it up. Attach the admission dues as per schedule given in Dues & Fee structure in the form of bank draft in favour of NFC Institute of Engineering and Technological Training, Multan and send the Application Form on or before September 09, 2012.
The application forms for engineering and BS(CS) programmes are enclosed in the prospectus. The candidates interested in both engineering and BS(CS) programmes MUST FILL both the application forms.
A candidate may apply against as many categories as he desires. In such case he must indicate accordingly on the application form. An Entry Test Fee of Rs. 800/= (non-refundable) must be deposited in the form of Bank Draft in favour of 'NFC Institute of Engg. & Technological Training (NFC IET) Multan' at least one week before the commencement of Entry Test.
Decision regarding un-utilized seats in each category shall be made by the admission committee.
Variation in Seats
The Admission Committee may exercise their right at any time to increase or decrease the number of seats allocated to any category or create/ abolish any category and there shall be no appeal against such a decision. Rules applicable to admission will also be applicable to such variation.
Foreigners/ Overseas Pakistanis
A few seats have been allocated to foreign candidates of all friendly countries and the overseas/ ex-overseas Pakistanis. Foreign Nationals and overseas/ ex-overseas Pakistanis will be considered at par with each other for determining the merit. Foreign Nationals are required to provide proof of equivalence of their qualifications.
The following examinations are considered as equivalent to the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination with Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics of the Pakistan boards of intermediate and secondary education.
- Intermediate (Pre-engineering) examinations of the board of intermediate and secondary Education, Azad Kashmir.
- Cambridge Overseas Higher Secondary Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- British General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) with physics, chemistry and Mathematics.
- F.Sc. (pre-medical) with mathematics as an additional subject.
Provisions about admission on the basis of B.Sc. degree
Given the qualifications and restrictions stated below, a person is eligible for admission to the Bachelor's course at IET on the basis of degree of Bachelor of Science. A person possessing a B.Sc. degree is NOT eligible for admission to the Bachelor degree course at the IET unless he has also passed F.Sc. (pre-engineering) securing at least 60% marks.
Scope of Eligibility for B.Sc.'s with F.Sc. (pre-engineering)
For admission to the B.Sc. course in engineering an applicant may have passed B.Sc. examination with any combination.
Provision about Admission on the basis of B.Tech.(pass) and B.Tech.(Hons.) degree
Candidate holding B.Tech. (pass) and B.Tech. (Hons.) degree in relevant discipline are eligible for first semester of B.Sc. Engineering in relevant disciplines. The admission is carried on merit based on the maximum marks obtained in either B.Tech (pass/ Hons.) degree or DAE. First division in DAE is a pre-requisites for admission, along with a minimum of 100 marks in entry test.
Age Restrictions Criteria
A candidate must not have attained the age given below on the last date fixed for receipt of applications for admission to various undergraduate disciplines:
i.BSc Engineering/BS(CS) 24 year (On the basis of FSc)
ii.BSc Engineering 26 year (On the basis of BSc)
iii.BSc Engineering 40 year (On the basis of DAE)
Employed candidates shall have to take full leave from their organization and provide NOC for confirmation of admission.
All candidates will furnish a certificate (as per form attached) from a registered medical practitioner, declaring that they do not have any serious disease with may be harmful to them or others during the course of their studies at IET..
