Industrial Training

According to the new schedule of curricular recommended by BZU, six months industrial training is compulsory and comprising three months for each year.  The training opportunity will be arranged by the Institute.  Self reference regarding industrial training will also be entertained.

It goes a long way in familiarizing students with actual conditions prevailing at industries and various other complex factors involved in their management and operation.

On completion of each year industrial training, every student is required to submit a detailed report in a specific format which is mandatory for the award of B.Tech (Pass) Degree.

The Industrial Training Co-ordinator of the Institute maintains liaison with various industrial organizations where the trainees are placed.  He also ensures that training is being imparted in an effective way. During training period the students remain under the disciplinary and administrative control of industrial organization.  A trainee is expected to be punctual and abide by the rules and regulations of the industry.

A trainee will submit/undergo assignments/tests which may be required time to time by the organization where he has been placed for the evaluation of the progress made during whole training period.  In case of misconduct, non-performance of duty and/or breach of discipline reported by the organization, a strict disciplinary action will be taken against the trainee.

A trainee should be well aware of the fact that six months supervised field training is an essential part of their education for award of B.Tech. (Pass) Degree course.  Trainees are advised to make their training effective and meaningful. Trainee’s acquired knowledge during six months industries is evaluated by an evaluation committee (constituted by the respective Head of Department) at the end in the form of presentation/viva-voce. The trainee is required to satisfy the committee for his achievements during this training.  The committee may ask him to repeat his training at his own resources if not satisfied.

Six months supervised training is divided into two parts and each part comprising duration of three months.  The student is required to submit a report at the end of each training. His continuation of training is subject to the approval of his report from Training Co-ordinator.

Training Co-ordinator may have a surprised visit at training site without prior intimation. Absence without permission will be considered a serious offense and the candidate will be dealt with accordingly.
