In order to gain practical experience in an industrial organization, on the job training is considered essential for the students. It goes a long way in familiarizing the students with actual conditions in factories and various complex factors involved in their management and operation. Eight to twelve weeks of training is arranged by the Institute for the students.

The student is required to submit a brief report on the work carried out during industrial training and the management is requested to supply a report on the adaptability and progress of each student. Industrial Training is mandatory for the award of Engineering Degree.

Engineering students of the Institute are provided an opportunity to enhance their technical knowledge and broaden their outlook by undertaking, tours of factors located all over pakistan. The expenditure of these tours is born partly by the Institute. Participation in Industrial Tour is compulsory.
