Eligibility

1. The candidate becomes eligible for admission on production of F.Sc./ DAE result card securing

60% marks in F.Sc. (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics)

60% marks in DAE

However, he can appear in Entry Test on submitting a certificate from Principal of College last attended that he is likely to get through securing at least 60% marks in F.Sc. or 60% marks in DAE. Result Intimation Form alongwith copy of Result Card must reach IET by scheduled date.

2. Candidates studying Computer Science/ Computer Studies in lieu of Chemistry in F.Sc./A-Level

are eligible only for Electronic & Computer Systems Engineering.

1. Higher Secondary School Certificate with Chemistry, Mathematics, and Pysics

2. Computer Scince/Computer Studies in Lieu of Chemistry

3. Intermediate(Pre-Engineering) Examination of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary

Education, Azad Kashmir

4. Cambridge Overseas Higher School Certificate with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

5. British General Certficate of Education(Advance Level) with Physics, Chemistry and

Mathematics.

6. F.Sc.(Pre-Medical) with Mathematics as an additional subject.

7. Diploma of Associate Engineer(D.A.E)

8. B.Sc with F.Sc(Pre-Engineering)

9. B.Tech.(Pass) and B.Tech(Hons.)

10. Females

Diploma of Associate Engineer (D.A.E)

For admissions against seats reserved for holders of the Diploma of Associate Engineer/B.Tech (Pass) he should have passed the diploma examination of a Board of Technical Education in the relevant technology. The seat reserved for Diploma Holders is on all Pakistan basis.

Provisions about Admission on the Basis of a B.Sc. Degree

Given the qualifications and restrictions stated below, a person is eligible for admission to the Bachelor’s courses at IET on the basis of a degree of Bachelor of Science. A person possessing a B.Sc degree is NOT eligible for admission to the Bachelors degree course at the IET unless he has also passed F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering).

Scope of Eligibility for B.Sc.’s with F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering)

For admission to the B.Sc. course in Engineering an applicant may have passed B.Sc. examination with any combination.

Provision about Admission on the basis of B.Tech.(Pass) and B.Tech. (Hons.) degree

Candidates holding B.Tech.(Pass) and B.Tech.(Hons.) degree in relevant discipline are eligible for admission to Second Professional and Third Professional class respectively of B.Sc. Engineering in relevant disciplines. Their admission is carried on the basis of Merit based on their B.Tech(Pass) or (Hons.) degree only. No entry test is conducted in their case.

Following seat allocation is applicable to such candidates.

Candidates contesting for NFC Employees seat must be employees of NFC or its subsidiary companies. Schedule of admissions for these seats can be obtained from IET Office.

Female Reserved Seats

Female applicants are eligible to apply for all other open merit seats. However, some seats are reserved for female candidates in addition to regular seats.
